Tour description.
Every country has its own wonders of nature. And there are many of them in Kazakhstan. One of the most famous and beautiful natural attractions is the Charyn Canyon, located on the spurs of the Tien Shan, not far from the border with China. It will not leave anyone indifferent, touching invisible strings in the soul and forcing them to come back here again and again. The road to the "Valley of Castles" lies through the Sogetinskaya Valley, stretching between the mountain ranges of Ketmen and Ulken - Bogetta. The reason for the name "Valley of Castles" was the amazing rocks, similar to fortress bastions. The length of the canyon is 154 kilometers, and the height of its walls is from 150 to 300 meters. Stone labyrinths excite the exploratory instinct - in them you can find the prints of ancient plants and the remains of the skeletons of prehistoric creatures. And pleasantly tired of searching, you can always sit here by the friendly river in the openwork shade of coastal poplars. This canyon is the creation of an inspiring duo of nature and time, approximately 12 million years old. It was and remains a classic of ecological tourism. Here, rocks of different colors, shapes and eras stand shoulder to shoulder, made of rocks that look completely different - one can only guess what long and grandiose processes preceded the formation of its current appearance.
Kolsay Lakes: this is a chain of the purest alpine lakes with piercing color of the blue evening sky, wild coniferous forest, the aroma of resin and lush herbs. In the picturesque gorge of the Northern Tien Shan, where snow leopards roam and bird trills do not stop, the untouched beauty of nature and the careful work of man are intertwined. Comfortable paths lie between the shaggy paws of the Tien Shan firs, and cozy gazebos peep through the calm surface of the water. It is sweet to meet the cool dawns here, watching how the sparkling silver stars fade, one after another. And in the daytime, when peace reigns on the Kolsay lakes, it is pleasant to listen to the wind rustling over the forest.
Kungei-Alatau is rich in beautiful mountain lakes. In the gorge, next to the Kolsay, there is a lake "Kaiyndy". The road to it lies through a large birch grove, thanks to which this gorge got its name. "Kaiyn" in Kazakh language meens "birch". The beautiful history of Kaiyndy began about 200 years ago, when an earthquake created natural dam on the river. The water flooded the gorge, but some of the fir trees still cling tightly to the bottom, showing bare trunks above the surface.
